The Honeywell Sensepoint XCD stationary gas detector is used to monitor areas where flammable gases, toxic gases and oxygen deficiency may pose hazards to work environments. Honeywell Sensepoint XCD detectors offer high performance and reliability and are designed for a wide range of industrial applications with a comprehensive selection of features and benefits in a truly cost-effective package. Sensepoint XCD uses three instantly recognizable colors to display status on a large three-color backlit LCD. This allows everyone to clearly see the status of each detector. Steady green indicates normal operation, flashing yellow indicates an error, and flashing red indicates an alarm. All detectors come pre-configured and include (2) programmable alarm relays, 1 programmable fault relay, as well as 4-20mA and MODBUS output. There are three different types of XCD transmitters for use with three different sensor families. The mV transmitter is for use with the mV family of XCD sensors, including catalytic sensors for the detection of flammable gases and infrared (IR) sensors for the detection of hydrocarbon gases. Two IR hydrocarbon sensors are available. One is linearized to methane and the other to propane. The propane version has linear cross sensitivity factors for ethylene, butane and pentane. An IR CO2 sensor is also available. The EC type transmitter for use with the EC XCD family of sensors includes carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, and hydrogen. Oxygen transmitter for use with XCD oxygen sensors. A transmitter can automatically detect any sensor from its sensor family. The sensor simply attaches to the bottom of the transmitter and the transmitter automatically configures itself accordingly.
