The rim seal foam pour is designed to discharge fully breathed foam directly into the annular seal area of the roof floating roof storage tanks for fire or vapor containment. Fully breathed foam provides the most effective performance. Seal ring HD foam is UL listed and FM approved. The design of the foam seal ring provides wind protection and allows the breathed foam to slowly drain into the protected area of the floating roof tank. Gentle application minimizes sloshing and stirring and increases the performance of the foam blanket. This design allows for uniform and consistent flow of foam. Foam seal ring is used in one of the most common tank seal protection applications in vertical liquid storage tank with internal floating roof with low expansion foam system.
